Both libraries are accessible to people with disabilities.
A large number of books, CDs, DVDs, newspapers and magazines are available for free access at the Marc-Ferro library and the George-Sand library. The reader's card allows you to borrow and return documents in either of the two libraries.
LARGE PRINT BOOKS, AUDIO BOOKS
The libraries have a collection of over 1 000 large-print novels and 640 audio books.
All these documents can be consulted freely in the libraries. To borrow, you must take out a subscription.

What is this service ?
A document delivery service (books, large print books, audio books, comic books, CDs, DVDs, magazines and journals) delivered to your home by volunteers.

 

Who can benefit ?
Any elderly and isolated citizen of Saint-Germain, who is disabled, has reduced mobility or is permanently unable to travel.

 

How to register ?

By sending or dropping off the registration form at either of the two libraries.

 

How does it work ?
An initial meeting is arranged with a volunteer and a librarian to determine the reader's tastes and needs. The reader then receives a monthly visit to return the documents borrowed and to receive new documents.

The DIGITAL DOCUMENTS can be consulted online 24 hours a day from a computer, a tablet or a smartphone. On our website for registered users:

 

- E-books: 22,000 titles, including in English and in Spanish: literature, economics/employment, youth (1,500 titles), sciences, humanities and social sciences, practical books and tourism...

 

- Online press: around 100 press titles for all audiences...

 

- Music: 600 video concerts and 1900 audio concerts (classical, jazz, chanson, world music), 350 documentary videos, 160 conferences...

 

- Self-training: school support, driving code, office automation, languages, music...

 

Many activities are offered throughout the year by the libraries: meetings with writers, readings, concerts, conferences on art, workshops... MAG>, the schedules of our activities, is available in the libraries and on our website.
